At ContextML, our mission is to bring real-life context into diabetes technology, making it more useful, personal and relevant to the people who rely on it.
We're starting with smarter travel preparation and working towards a future where contextual insights can also support better-informed clinical care.
Steddia Travel: a personal plan for every trip
Whether it's a family holiday, school trip, business trip or weekend away, travelling with diabetes takes extra preparation.
Steddia Travel makes that easier by creating personalised travel plans based on your diabetes setup and the details of your trip.

Add your trip. Tell Steddia where you're going, when and how you're travelling.
Get your plan. Receive tailored guidance on what to pack, prepare and consider — including calculated quantities, backups and timely reminders.
Designed to learn from your experiences, Steddia Travel aims to make each future trip easier to prepare for.
Steddia Travel is a non-medical application currently in development.
Steddia Care: Understanding the story behind the glucose data
Glucose data can tell us what happened, but not always why.
Everyday experiences — from illness and physical activity to travel and disrupted routines — can influence glucose patterns, yet this context is often missing from clinical reports.
Steddia Care is our vision for a future medical application that helps healthcare professionals interpret glucose data alongside relevant real-life events.
By connecting glucose patterns with the circumstances behind them, we aim to provide meaningful, explainable insights that support more informed clinical discussions and decisions.

ContextML at Zukunft kuMULativ 2026 in Cottbus

ContextML took part in Zukunft kuMULativ 2026, the symposium of the Medizinische Universität Lausitz – Carl Thiem (MUL – CT), held in Cottbus on 1–2 October. Researchers, clinicians, policymakers and startup founders spent two days discussing how to bring innovative solutions into everyday care.
As part of the Startup Lausitz Accelerator, we presented Steddia Travel at our stand and had many good conversations with participants from research, care and industry.
The event came at a fitting moment: this month, two years after its founding, the MUL – CT welcomes its first medical students.

ContextML takes part in the DCB Innovation Bootcamp 2026

ContextML was one of five startups at the DCB Innovation Bootcamp 2026, run by the Diabetes Center Berne (DCB). For four intensive days in Emmetten in the Swiss mountains, teams from the US, Saudi Arabia, Denmark and Germany worked with experts on the questions that matter most at their stage.
This year marked DCB's sixth bootcamp and the first run as a standalone programme, with the American Diabetes Association as a partner. Rather than a one-size-fits-all format, the programme was built around each team's own challenges: clinical development, regulatory pathways, UX and software, market insights, fundraising, individual mentoring and pitch training.
We took part with Steddia Travel and came away with honest feedback, valuable contacts and a clearer view of our next steps. Our thanks go to the DCB team and all the experts who shared their time and experience.
The bootcamp startups will present in a dedicated session at the Diabetes Technology Meeting (DTM), hosted by the Diabetes Technology Society near Washington, D.C., at the end of October.

ContextML joins the Startup Lausitz Accelerator
July 2026 - Company announcement
We're excited to share that ContextML has been accepted into the second cohort of the Startup Lausitz Accelerator — a project of Thiem-Research GmbH, part of the Medizinische Universität Lausitz – Carl Thiem (MUL-CT).
We join ten other startups for a structured twelve-month programme. To take part, we've opened an office at Startblock B2 in Cottbus — the city at the centre of the Modellregion Gesundheit Lausitz, a state-backed model region for the future of healthcare.
Over the year, the programme gives us one-on-one coaching on medical-device development and approval, along with the opportunity to discuss clinical questions with physicians, therapists and nurses.
We're looking forward to the year ahead with the Startup Lausitz team and the other startups in the batch.
The Startup Lausitz Accelerator is co-funded by the European Union and the State of Brandenburg.
